David Shorenstein, founder and principal at Silvershore Properties, will be coming in to speak on March 7th.
David Shorenstein graduated from NYU in 2003. In 2009 he started Silvershore after working as a commercial RE broker. Today, he and his founding partner own over 70 NYC properties worth over $275 million.

"Silvershore began investing in Brooklyn in 2009 at what proved to be the beginning of an unprecedented real estate boom. In the following years, they bought more than 80 buildings and a name for themselves as one of the borough’s most prolific investors. “We didn’t have much money or backing, but we had the ability to find deals and so we went to where we could afford to buy,” Jason Silverstein recalled.
This year alone, Silvershore has bought 36 buildings spending $85,000,000. Two weeks ago, the firm closed on the purchase of a retail property at 521 Columbia Street in Red Hook for $6 million and two-mixed use buildings and a store on Atlantic Avenue across the street from the Greenland’s Pacific Park development for $3.75 million.
